Interesting. That's down where Lake St intersects with Mass Ave, can't think which space it is though. Up at my end of town, a Mexican place has a sign that it will be opening where Something Savory used to be (roughly across from D'Agostinos and Penzeys).

I'm pretty sure a florist was there, but I'll check.
And the restaurant in the Heights is going to be called La Posada.

196 Mass Ave is the old New Asia space, between Flora and the nail shop. It's about time something's finally going in there!
ArtWear's old address was 189 Mass Ave, and the new is 185 Mass Ave.

New Asia is 194 Mass. Ave. and ArtWear was across the street at 189. I was wrong about the floral place, which was 195. I have no idea what was at 196 Mass. Ave.!

The building permits posted on the door of the old New Asia say 196 Mass Ave, and they are for a restaurant retrofit. There aren't any other empty storefronts on the even side of the street on that block, so the new place has gotta be going in there.

I'd guess the old ArtWear space. ArtWear moved to the Tall Tree Guild space after they closed because the owner passed away. There was a car that drove through the window so maybe it's a combination of repair/restaurant build! I'm excited.
Also, quite excited for the new Mexican place but still sad about Something Savory.

Me too but I am happy for them that they can spend more time with their kids and make a living on the catering (which they do a great job at).

Awesome! This takes away a little of the sting of Rancatore's moving from Belmont St. to Belmont Center . . . thanks for posting.

ARGH. Does this mean they are not opening in Chinatown?

I've saw signs saying Little Q is coming soon at the Archstone Building last week.

are you talking about a second LIttle Q or the one that has been open for some time in Arlington on Mass Avenue?
