  1. I've never seen a "French Dip" sandwich offered in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I'd love to know too.

Houston's makes a really good french dip on fresh baked brioche. I hate patronizing such an overpriced place, but the french dip is THAT good.

    2. I don't know if I would call it "great", but Mariposa Restaurant (inside Neiman Marcus Plano) has a tasty sandwich that they previously referred to as a "french dip". I believe they now call it their "slow roasted sirloin" sandwich.

      1. What we need here in Dallas is a branch of Phillipe's Original French Dip from Los Angeles.
See Chowhound topic #323323. There's even a comparison of Phillipe's French Dip vs. Houston's French Dip.

        1. NYPD (New York Pizza and Deli) in Euless has a great one. They call it an Italian Beef, but nope, it's a French Dip. The 'dip' on the side. Excellent bread - crispy outer crust, tender, toasted inside.

Hope they're not closed. I was going to add the web-site here, but the page is "not currently available". Hopefully they're just doing some updates cause they have some pretty good sandwiches. I stop in there occasionally when I'm headed to Arlington on 157.

I've seen Phillipe's on one of the Travel Channel segments. Would love to have one of those!
