Finding Tasso ham and other Cajun/Creole Products in Hampton Roads

I am on a mission to find some Tasso Ham in the Hampton Roads area. Seems a few good recipes require it, and I can not find it anywhere. In particular, shrimp and grits with Tasso gravy. I have found some Andouille Sausage at a few places (Trader Joe's, Fresh Market, and the bland Aidells and Johnsonville versions at the supermarkets), but I have no idea how authentic they are so any suggestions there would also be helpful. I looked at mail order but the shipping is more expensive than the product. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm going to bet that either the Edwards Ham store on Richmond Rd. in Williamsburg or The Smithfield Ham store on Prince George St. in the Burg might have it. Worth giving them a call. I know that the proprieters at the Edwards shop could tell you what the closest Va. facsimile would be. Interested in the coveted Jamon Iberico? We've got that in the Burg too--La Tienda in the white building next to Fresh Mkt. on Richmond Road.

Ended up researching and making my own. Not too difficult. Very similar to making barbecue (ie. the smoking part) The end result was wonderful. Now I have lots of it and many recipes to use it with and seeking more)
