Lunch after Bliss-Soho

I am going to Bliss Spa in Soho with my (adult) nieces and sister-in-law on April 2. I am looking for an inexpensive but nice place to have lunch afterward. If there was anything decent in Little Italy, that would be perfect. I don't think they would be into Chinese or other Asian, unfortunately. TIA

    1. You could try either Mercer Kitchen or Caffe Falai, both of which are about a block away from Bliss Soho. I'm not sure what your definition of 'inexpensive' is, but Mercer has a $26 prix fixe lunch everyday, while Caffe Falai is doing a $20 prix fixe on weekdays (according to their websites).

        1. Bread on Spring St. and Elizabeth, just north of Little Italy. I had an awful experience at Falai recently. The service there is comically incompetent. Avoid.

            1. I don't know your definition of inexpensive either but Balthazar is right there and could be a good choice.

Balthazar is a bit pricey for this crowd. Falai's menu looked interesting and at a good price, sorry to hear that about the service. Bread would also do the trick. It looks small, though. Would getting a table be a problem.

I've never once had trouble getting a table at Bread at any time of day and I've been upwards of 30 times. Within the last few years, they expanded the space and now there's plenty of seating.

Thanks, I've never been. The pics I saw made it look tiny.

                    • I really like Despana on Broome near Lafayette. They have amazing sandwiches with Spanish cheese and meats and salads. There isn't much seating but it's the kind of thing I would want after a spa trip.
