There's Pasha in Astoria on 31st and Newtown Ave. My Yugoslavian co worker likes it alot. There's another good Bosnian place in Astoria he took me to, it's farther east but we started going to Pasha cuz the prices are more reasonable.
The Cevapi is very good, that's all I've had. I just take his word on the authenticity part. The other place was also great, and the grill is out front and everything grilling is visible which I do like. But I guess this isn't supposed to be expensive stuff. Both are very casual.

Hi Wet Towel,
The Bosnian burger (pljeskavica) at micro-eatery Bosna Express is still delicious though that's all I ever get so I can't evaluate anything else.
For German, lots of people seem to LOVE Zum Stammtisch in Glendale though I have not been amazed. To me, it's just ok.
Maybe I got spoiled when I was lucky enough to visit a friend in Germany. Her mother made a whole bunch of absolutely wonderful traditional German specialties—none of which were excessively heavy.
Ciao,
Glendale is hungry...
