Fun lunch spot in Brighton, near St. Elizabeth's hospital

MParente Mar 16, 2010 01:24 PM

Can anyone think of anything? I want to take a fellow employee out for a birthday lunch, but nothing seems festive enough in the area. Any ideas that are pretty close by? Thanks!

Don't know if it's festive enough, but the food at Esperia Grill near Brighton Center is very good.

Dunno what you mean by festive but Esperia Grill is bright, sunny, open and delicious, with a nice staff. Not remotely fancy though, if that's what you're after.

      Devlin's is pleasant.

I would say Devlin's too. Corrib and Green Briar for casual.

I've heard good things about Jasmine Bistro (Cambridge and Market) and it looks like a nice atmosphere from the outside although I've never eaten there. Devlin's also has a nice patio, and if the weather keeps up it may be open this week.

Jasmine Bistro is nice, but it's only open for dinner.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as festive, but YoMa is not too far down the road and the food is delicious.

Thanks everyone. We went to Devlins and it was lovely. Good chocolatae brulee and a slow, albeit very sweet waiter, who definitely went the extra mile.
