Where to purchase a whole pig???

Hey all - has anyone recently purchased a whole pig from anywhere in the los angeles area? I've contacted a few butchers and either people aren't getting back to me or aren't very helpful. I'd like to purchase a whole pig - but I'd like to know what price range I should be expecting. Any info would be helpful.

    1. Try any of the Claros Italian Markets. They usually have them this time of year for Easter. They also carry whole lamb and goat.

        1. We have purchased while pigs from Ranch 99. I think they have those in southern california. Last time, we went on the internet and purchased a whole pig from a local farmer. We've paid $125-$190 for around a 70 pound pig.
