  1. I've always liked the version at the Squealing Pig.

I assume Tavern At the End of the World's are the same as the Pig's.

    2. McGann's in Boston, across from the Garden has a great curry sauce.

      1. I think Foley's on Kingston Street has really good ones. Then again, my epicurian skills tend to be a bit impaired by the time I eat anything there.

        1. MJ O'Connor's makes their own curry sauce, I like it. I recently had an order at Mick Morgan's in Newton. Nothing special cos it was Sysco steak fries and bottled sauce but it was good.

Is The Battery still open? It's been a while but the last time I was there I enjoyed the fresh cut chips and curry.

          1. The Battery is dead.

J.J. Foley's Cafe in the South End does a version with that typical British brown-curry gravy. I can't say I'm a fan of this notion, want my fries to stay crisp, but it's a decent gravy. They call them "chips", but they're typical American-style skin-on (likely previously frozen but pretty good anyway) fries.

            1. Its been a few years but I used to really like the chips and curry at the Burren. I used to ask for an extra little vat and I'd dip my swiss and mushroom burger in there too.

              1. The fries themselves aren't anything special, but the curry sauce at Old Magoun Saloon is excellent.

i like the curry sauce at Devlins (Brighton Center). I think it's got heavy cream in it. It's got good curry flavor but lacks the harshness of others I've had.
