Former DC hound seeks one dessert heavy lunch

I've only got one meal slot (weekday lunch) in DC next month and I want to make it count! I'm a dessert queen, and after searching this board I'm convinced that I've got to try a sticky toffee pudding while in town. So, I'm looking for a delicious lunch experience topped off with the most fabulous toffee pudding the city has to offer. I see that Againn and Proof are well-liked and they offer the dessert. I'm eager to try a restaurant that did not exist during my DC days, and so these two might fit the bill perfectly. If you feel that there are other restaurants that offer amazing desserts that aren't necessarily sticky toffee pudding, I'm listening! TIA.

You should look at Coco Sala if you are a chocolate lover. http://www.cocosala.com/

This looks like fun. Do you think I'd be able to have a late lunch at coco sala without a reservation?

I think so. I've gotten restaurant week reservations the same day I think.

Not sure if you're looking for Asian, but Raku (in Dupont Circle) has my favorite desert: Mango + Sticky Rice. It would be my "last meal" choice if I had to make one.

I remember the sticky rice at Raku being delicious. I'm glad they haven't changed a good thing!
