The ones we buy are Cedar brand, found in a can. But frozen are good, too. We've bought them in Deal, NJ and all over Brooklyn, but nowhere near our North/Central NJ home. Has anyone seen them around these parts? Many thanks in advance!

Try Honey Persian Market in Teaneck. 201-530-5082. Most of the middle eastern products that they carry have a hechsher.

Funny, we were JUST in Teaneck this weekend, and no one seemed to know where we could find them. Thank you so much for this suggestion--we will definitely hit them up next time around.

Would these be green fava beans with the skins still on? Chinese markets would have them in the frozen section.

Thanks for the idea. Do you suppose they'd have a hechsher?

If they are uncooked and the type of vegetables that don't have bug issues, I wouldn't think they'd need a hechsher. But I'm certainly no posek.
