KARLA'S SMOKEHOUSE

This is to get the word out that Karla's Smokehouse is STILL open. She will be open 3 days a week Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Also she is still taking orders. If you know you are going to be headed toward Rockaway Beach and want her famous smoked products do a preorder which she is trying to get people to do then all's you have to do is stop in and pick up your order no more worrying if she will have what you want. Her oysters are to dye for but they are very time consuming so if that's what you want do a preorder of it...you can email your order ahead @ karlassmokehouse@yahoo.com, call her 503-355-2362 or check her out on Facebook...
So pass the word around she hasn't closed up and retired YET......
on the days she is smoking the fish will come out in the afternoons between 1 and 2pm that way you can come in and get it still warm..YUMMY...
Karla is located at 2010 N Rockaway Beach, Oregon
Somebody wrote that she was a little shack, but her building has grown just look for the signs on her building.....

    1. I was there two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to find them still open. Last year she kept telling me at every visit of her plan to go advance-order only close the walk-in shop blah blah blah. We went to the coast spur of the moment, I called on a lark, she answered and said to come on by, she's too busy to take an order. And boy were we well rewarded with still-warm smoked oysters, black cod, and several kinds of salmon!

North end of Rockaway, east side of Hwy 101.

Yep we will be open to walk in now but she would still like you to preorder if you know when you will be down...she is slowly phasing out the smoked oysters in the store to preorder only on them. The oysters are very time consuming but well worth preordering. She just got in 2500lbs of fish Wednesday 24th lots of Chinook some ling cod and also halibut that trip.
You never know what to expect at Karla's. Here's a picture of what we had the other day and most days now...Leonardo I work there and do all the updates on Karla. She is also on Facebook under Karla's Smokehouse be sure to check it out I do updates on what she is doing daily.
