Does anyone know any bars in NYC (preferably in midtown), that are open real early on St. Patrick's Day? I've heard that some open as early as 6 or 7 am, but I have not been able to find any. Thanks!

That's what I thought too, but any website with a time listed says 9 am or 10 am.

I still think that's a good bet, on that stretch of 3rd.
I've seen them in action on St. Paddy's, and they do offer breakfast, and keep going. The Blarney Stones come to mind, if they're still around.

You might check Paddy Reilly's on 2nd Ave. There's another Irish bar a couple blocks uptown from there. Not that you need suggestions of Irish bars, but Paddy Reilly's starts their happy hours at 11am daily, so they clearly respect an early start.

    2. I would think that at 6 or 7 am most of the Irish bars havent even closed yet. ;-)

New York legal bar hours are from 8 AM to 4 AM; so you won't find any place open before 8.

Unfortunately, I only found one bar open at 8am so far.

        2. Why not ask about bars that open at 7:00AM that also serve shots of Everclear?

Oh, I get it. You're the funny one! Actually, looking more for Jamison, but thanks anyway.

          2. Well, so, Connolly's on 47th between madison and 5th avenue is open starting at 6am for a WFAN broadcast, but I don't know if they only start serving booze at 8, and it's just breakfast before then.

            1. I don't know the answer to your question, but Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! You have unintentionally reminded me to wear my shamrock earrings tomorrow.
