Fra'Mani products @ Costco

bayareatiger Mar 14, 2010 12:31 PM

Lately we have been noticing a real dearth of the excellent products that Fra'Mani has been making for Costco, i.e., the savory meatloaf, the garlic mashed potatoes, the penne bolognese...

Does anyone here know what happened with their relationship and if that is a possible issue?

Will we ever see these products again anywhere?

The quality, like their salumi products, was excellent and very easy to prepare.

I saw their salametto sold in a 2-pack a couple times at Costco in Novato for about half the price of BB or anywhere else. That was at least 2-3 months ago. It would be great if they carried that product again. For a packaged product, I thought their beef braised in zin was pretty good.

Maybe they weren't selling well? They seemed very expensive to me compared with making them myself.

Agreed they were a little pricey, but if you don't have the time or motivation I think that their items were some of the best frozen prepared food items around.

I am also not seeing their spicy Italian sausage at Costco, which is priced well compared to other places you can find it.

I thought the meatloaf was just ok, but I want to see that spicy Italian sausage come back. I only saw it once during framani special event, but never saw it with the other items.

You can get their spicy and mild Italian sausage at Berkeley Bowl. Great product.

Have been buying the spicy sausage at BB since the inception of Fra'Mani.

              Awesome in a pasta sauce.
