NY'r in seach of great brunch rec's in Chantilly/Fairfax and surrounding areas...

Haven't been in a while but used to enjoy going to Westfields for their fabulous holiday brunches.

I think the shortage of replies doesn't mean you're being ignored but that there really isn't one. Chutzpah's in the Fair Lakes area is passable, depending on what you order but not something I'd recommend for a NYer.

I think the breakfast dishes are the best things at Chutzpah. I don't think a NYer would scoff at "The Oops" -- lox eggs and onions mixed with matzo brei.

That was the first dish I had at Chutzpah and liked it a lot. I've since had others that weren't up to par, and was disappointed in their bagels that are supposedly shipped from NY. But, it's the only place I can think of in the area that isn't a chain.

We tried brunch at Vintage 51 in South Riding recently. Not bad at all. We'll be going back.

The Blue Iguana is another non-chain possibility, but we haven't gone for brunch in a few years so I can't vouch for how it is now.

One good tip for Chutzpah -- the french fries are much better than the home fries, and you can get them with breakfast items.
