Ex-DC chowhound in town for one dinner. Where? Ethiopian?

Hi folks -- I'm a former DC hound back in your fair city for one dinner. Nothing fancy, but room for a half dozen friends or so. I moved away in early 2008; former haunts included Queen Makeda, Colorado Kitchen, Chez Auntie Libe, suburban Vietnamese. Logistically it will be better for me to be in the city, ideally on a Metro route between DCA and suburban Maryland. Leaning towards Ethiopian on 9th St but open to suggestions. Where should I go for one dinner?

I'd say you can't do better than Queen Makeda given those imitations.
