Fresh Green Peppercorns?

I've got my mortar and pestle and all my ingredients lined up to churn out some fantastic Thai food. The only thing missing are the green peppercorns. Does anyone know where to get bunches of fresh ones? I've seen the brined ones in glass jars at Ming's, but was hoping to go as full flavor as possible.

    1. I believe you will need to travel thousands of miles and then sneak them back thru customs in your carry on bags. They need to be either dried and irradiated or canned to be imported due to USDA regs. Lots of concerns about importing non native diseases and parasites in to this country especially in the big agriculture states like Cal, Fla etc. The citrus industry is very
important to the economy and they wont let that kind of thing in legally, does not mean you will never find it, just that it will be unusual and not at a big name retailer. Chinatown in NYC probably best bet.
      Good Luck !!!
Sounds like your curry will be great either way, you sound committed and poassionate about it.

Very interesting! So what do Thai restaurants use in dishes like Wild Boar Basil? Are they using the brined type?
