New and notable in ABQ?

  • 4

Anything? It's my dad's 85th b-day tonight, so would like to take him out somewhere fairly nice (entrees mainly in the $20s range). Would prefer to stay as close to his side of town as possible for his sake, but it's not the top consideration for reason's sake (he's way in the NE, two mins. from the tramway). And would prefer something new that I haven't tried before. I haven't been in about 2 months.

Am I correct in understanding that it's also Restaurant Week? Realize that might make things even more difficult.

But I might as well aim high for starters!

TIA...

  1. Well, it didn't matter. Dad wanted to go to Zea. Bleh. I mean, it's OK. But man, on my 85th birthday, my expectations will be a lot higher than his were.

Too bad. Savoy might have been nice. Went there with my in-laws last night and had a great antelope loin. They had a prix fixe for Restaurant Week, too.

Hope you had a nice celebration of the event, though.

        Next time, Savoy, then. Thanks!

Anyone been to Lucia downtown? How's that?

I have heard good things about Lucia but haven't been yet. I was told that it has a great brunch. Will head there soon as I scorded 2 for 1 coupon. There is a labor issue at the hotel, not sure if that will bother anyone...
