Cheapest/best place to buy half bottles of wine
I'm tired of opening full bottles of wine for me and one or two other people, not finishing the bottle and then it goes bad because I don't drink it often enough. My new idea is to buy a small stash of half bottles to keep in the basement. I'm no wine conossieur so don't need anything fancy - more interested in cheap and decent places to buy half bottles. Thoughts?
They always have lots of discounted half-bottles at the Calvert Woodley.

In you neighborhood, my answer for anything wine or booze related is always Ace Beverage. Great selection; knowledgeable, friendly staff; and great prices.
3301 New Mexico Ave, just a couple blocks south of Nebraska.

If you are in the palisades then you should go to MacArthur Beverage. Ace is good for artisinal spirits, but their wine selection pales in comparison to MacBev. In fact I think Ace has hardly any half bottles at all.
