Tommaso's Restaurant, Any Good Dishes Other Than Pizza?
I'm considering Tommaso's for a weekend night dinner which I know will be crowded with its no reservation policy. We've always enjoyed the pizza there, but were wondering if there were any other dishes worth trying, say the linguini with white clam sauce, lasagna, veal or eggplant parmigana? We usually order separate dishes, then share them family style so everyone gets a taste of what's ordered. I'd appreciate your thoughts and suggestions on any particular dishes they do well besides the pizza since we will be ordering a small one to share.
Besides Tommaso's, we're also thinking of Antica Trattoria, Ristorante Milano, North Beach Restaurant or Ideale. But we haven't been back to Tommaso's for a few years now and I think it's time for another visit. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for all your replies, I appreciate your suggestions. I was hoping for some insight to some of Tommaso's main dishes, but other than the ravioli, most of the comments were about the pizza and appetizers. As I said, I know the pizza is great, so we may go with the deep fried calamari (there's a nice picture of that on Yelp), coo coo clams, maybe a salad, then a pizza. Now my son is a confirmed cheese and tomato pie guy, while my wife and I would prefer the meatball or sausage mushroom combo. I wonder if they would accommodate us with a half cheese, half meat pie. Anyway that sounds like a pretty nice meal and I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again.

Yes, yes and yes. The House-made beef ravioli are delightful soft little pillows of joy. They are a must have for me even more so than the pizza.
