Recommendations in Reading, PA

My husband and I are headed to Reading in a few weeks for the Berks Jazz Festival. I was wondering whether anyone could recommend restaurants worth visiting in Reading. We like all kinds of food. We usually tend towards less expensive, ethnic restaurants. What's good in the area?

Check out Judy's on Cherry. When I visit friends in that area, that is a must for us.

Depending on where you are coming from, most restaurants may seem cheap. Here are a few of our favorites:
Hong Tanh - Excellent Vietnamese, downtown
Thaiwat - Very good Thai (I think better than the other Thai place in town), don't be put off by the strip mall location
Cucina Mexicana - Very good Mexican - Kutztown location is better than the one in Temple (depending on what venues you are going to, it may be convenient), and they are both HUGELY better than Alebrije, which I wouldn't even set foot in
Good Eats - Excellent vegetarian, but they also have meat and seafood dishes (skip the brunch, not their best showing)

I'll agree with all the recommendations above, especially Hong Thanh. I think they're the best restaurant in the area. Judy's is great, but on the more expensive side for Reading. I'd also recommend Mezcal's for Mexican downtown, and Alladin on Penn Ave. in West Reading for Middle Eastern. If you like an Irish pub-type atmosphere with a seafood emphasis, try the Ugly Oyster as well. Enjoy your visit!
