Bellingham area with kids....can you recommend somewhere?
It's been a few years but we are going down to the Bellingham area with our 4 and 6 year old girls. Can you recommend somewhere? I remember that when I asked before, there was a great pizza place recommended which we loved....but I cannot remember the name.
6 year old daughter has a peanut allergy so sadly, Thai, Malaysian and Chinese food places are out. :(
Was it La Fiamma? That's our favorite pizza place. They also have a new place down the street called Fiammaburger.

Well, it depends on what you are looking for? La Fiamma (and Fiamma Burger) is super kid-friendly, they'll even give your kids a ball of pizza dough to play with at the table and they have a great kids' menu. The Bagelry is bustling at most hours but another kid-friendly option if you don't mind the crowd of hungry bagel-eaters. The Old Town Cafe has a play area for kids. The cafe at either Community Food Co-op store offer allergy-free choices and also play areas. Almost every restaurant in Bellingham is very kid tolerant, but those are the places I can think of in a few minutes that offer something extra for kids.

Since you sound sad about the thai, malaysian, chinese thing...
We live in B'ham, and my 8.y.o. son is anaphylactic to peanuts. Although we were initially nervous about thai, we've now taken him to "On Rice" a dozen times, and never had an incident. We always tell the waiters, and tell them to tell the kitchen staff.
The gratis salad has a peanut dressing but they will do rice vinegar instead. My kids love the basil fried rice as well as most of the chicken/veg stir fries. And the Fairhaven as well as Sehome locations have a nice fish tank for them to ogle while they wait for food.

You may also want to check out Mambo in Fairhaven. They've got pizza which will please the kids and also some classic Italian dishes. I see kids in there all the time and it seems to work out fine.

Their basil fried rice is the best! One of our favorite treats in Bellingham. We also love the tofu satay. Even though it is served with peanut sauce, it'd still be fab without it.
