  1. Skyway Jack's, on 34th St. South (Hwy. 19), is beyond fabulous!! Great variety, welcoming atmosphere, this is one of my favorite breakfast places anywhere in the country!!

seconded. I live in tampa but will hike over the bridge for skyway jacks.

Couldn't agree more...Skyway Jack's is the way to go. Although I like the new location on 4th & Gandy in St. Pete as well as the original.

Then you experience must have been better than mine. I went with a friend fairly soon after it first opened. Did not go well. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Give it another shot...it is well worth it. Pecan and chocolate chip pancakes of this caliber (particularly when served with crispy yummy bacon) are not to be mocked, my friend. :-) Enjoy!

We liked the one on 4th street, too. Best blueberry pancakes I've ever had.

We've also tried the new place on 4th around 84th Ave - Tick Tock I think? Husband and daughter enjoyed theirs. I was turned off when I ordered blueberry pancakes and got regular pancakes with a half can of blueberry pie filling dumped on top. The pancakes were fine when I scraped the goop off the top, but not what I expected.

        2. Beverly's on Cory Ave. in St. Pete Beach. and Ricky T's in Treasure Island. I heard NOLA Cafe downtown St. Pete has beignets in the morning and you can't beat the view.

There was a NOLA in Tampa near Boulevard. Is it the same place?

Yes, I just looked it up and there is a NOLA Cafe in Tampa here is the website for both.

          2. Angie's on 7th ave N. on Round lake. And on Sunday's she has a great buffet and live acoustic music. It's just charming.

            1. On Saturdays, my fave new breakfast/brunch spot is Z Grille in Downtown St. Pete...best breakfast burrito I've had since I've lived in CA, and if you're feeling extra extravagant, don't ignore the chicken and waffles with pink peppercorn butter and bacon maple syrup....washed down with a pineapple mimosa after a wander through the St. Pete Farmer's Market 1 block away. Amazing!

                OMG.... I'm gonna do it!
I'm gonna do ALL those things!

Frog Pond on St. Pete and North Redington Beaches is awesome!

Pincho y Pincho in downtown St. Pete also has a nice breakfast. The stuffed French Toast they serve on Sundays is incomparable.

A family member died and I stayed at a cousins near the restaurant-
Breakfast was inexpensive and well done-
A lunch of Greek salad was well prepared and fresh. The feta cheese was excellent and didn't have that resiny taste which it often has-
