Downtown area brewery tours & tastings / and "splurge-worthy" dinner rec?

  • 1

Hi all,

I'll be staying in downtown Portland for a long weekend (Fri 26-Sun 28) and am interested in recommended brewery tours that are easily accessible by public transit or bike?

also, any "splurge-worthy" recommendations for dinner? we're coming from the SF bay area, so any suggestions on portland-unique foods/styles would be great.

thanks!

  1. This is a great way to do a brewery tour. http://www.brewbus.com/ . If that is a bit more than you wanted to commit to, Widmer Brothers is a stop on the Yellow MAX line http://www.widmer.com/scheduled_tour.... Bridgeport Brewing is located off of the streetcar line.

Splurge-worthy restaurants in Portland will be surprisingly affordable by SF standards. My personal favorite is Paley's Place however Le Pigeon (Portland's version of Incanto) Clyde Commons, and Beast will probably offer a more unique experience.

    Have a wonderful time!
