Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

cheap eats west 90s

This Spring day has me planning a Rita's Water Ice (92nd and Broadway) run for this afternoon. Anyone have any great cheap eats recommendations for that area? I was hoping to hit Super Taco beforehand, but I see that the truck is there in the evening only during the week. Thanks in advance!

    1. Malecon -- 97th & Amsterdam
      Pio Pio -- 94th & Amsterdam
      Charm Thai -- 95th & Amsterdam (they do an $8 lunch special)

      Yes, the taco truck is there after (I think) 6 pm. For a while there was a larger truck during the day on 94th & Bway but I haven't seen it in a while.

      ETA: there's also a hummus place on bway at about 99th or so.

          Thanks for the Malecon recommendation! I got the roast chicken and it was great! A terrific deal as well - huge amount of food (I got the 1/2 chicken) for $8.
