caribbean cuisine in need of one great dish to make

hello chows I am attending a caribbean cuisine themed potluck dinner can anyone recommend a great entrée recipe or a entrée salad could be either meat or vegetable. Beside, jerk chicken I am at a lost. I just started searching for dishes that I could make but I thought I would try here to see if someone has something they really like making. Thanks!

You can "jerk" any other meats, seafood and vegetables besides chicken; curry is also popular in the Caribbean. Because it's surrounded by water, fish & seafood dishes are at the top of the list, one easy dish is to roast a seasoned whole fish Also, there are different specialties in each Caribbean island so it may help to browse some websites.

Do you think anyone else will make rice and peas? The Bahamas style usually uses pigeon peas and thyme. Other island may use other beans, and add a bit of hot pepper.
