Wildwood closes

Just noticed this:

http://www.wildwoodgrill.ca/

fourth paragraph---ouch!

We used to like Wildwood but the menu seriously needed updating. It seems likely a new restaurant will take its place; hope it's good.

I have no inside knowledge, but boo hoo about the fourth paragraph.

Actually, Average Joe's is more like it.

        ChrisA:

Can you provide some "interpretation"? Not sure who or what the "colleagues" are.

        Too bad in some ways.

I only went the one time when visiting Calgary and it was quite good. But then again that was quite some time ago so I cannot comment from personal experience as to whether it went down in quality/service or not.

I heard that the Mercato people had taken the space, so maybe the story is there?

But as to the note- Creative owns the Marda Loop and Kensington OJ's? The last time I ate at OJ's Kensington, which was at least two years ago, the food was just horrible. I hope this is a change and that it means better food. I

Bob---I have no more information than you do; just happened on the page while trying to decide where to go for brunch.

I didn't know Creative owns Original Joe's either. Odd the same people run both that cruddy chain and Bonterra.

i find it upsetting that bonterra is even associated with the others...although we were quite disappointed with our last bonterra visit, we've since written off OJ's in marda loop even though it's out our back door (we go to the garrison for our local pub instead, real food and real service)
