Shepherd's Pie recommendations in DFW

tango7000 Mar 8, 2010 02:04 PM

In times past, I've been to the Tipperary Inn in Dallas and had a decent shepherd's pie there. Now that they're (sadly) closed, does anyone have recommendations in Dallas, FW, or the surrounding community?

Try Trinity Hall at Mockingbird Station. They have it on the menu, but I cannot endorse it becasue I don't think I have ever ordered it. The Tipp was good.

I'm not generally a fan of Shepherds Pie but I really enjoyed the version I had at Molly Maguires on Live Oak. The owner saw I was enjoying it and came over to tell me it's his grandmother's recipe from Ireland. It was much meater than most Shepherds Pie and I think that's a big part of why I enjoyed it.
