Gluten Free in Eastern Monmouth

Have a friend that loves to eat but has Celiac. Am looking for any places that offer gluten free fare pretty much anywhere east of Freehold...

  1. not sure how accurate this is but hope it helps! =)

    1. You might try Jesse's Cafe in West End Long Branch. She has several gluten-free items. She is knowledgeable about gluten-free (GF) diet. She's very careful in her kitchen to keep GF food uncontaminated, and has a designated mixer for GF baking. Her food is home-cooking style, maybe what we might call hippie food. Sprouts and granola. I really love her soups and stir-fries. Her salads are super-fresh and crunchy.
Alas I have not been there in over a year, due to my re-location to the left coast. Call to make sure it's still Jesse doing the cooking.

Hello Bob, and greetings to all the Monmouth area hounds. The food scene in Seattle is wonderful, with year-round farmers markets, impeccable fish, a vibrant wine culture. You can truly eat local and never get bored. However, I really miss NJ. They don't know how to make a hot dog here, and I miss Italian and Jewish food. We have lots of great choices for Korean and Vietnamese food.
          Best regards,

Hi Val, Wonderful to see you here! Your voice on this board is missed. But I'm happy to hear that life in Seattle is treating the two of you well, and that you are enjoying the food and wine there.

      2. HI. There is a Chinese Thai restaurant that is in the Freehoild Shoprite shopping center off rte. 9 which has a sign in the window that it has gluten free meals. I've tried the chicken in red curry and it was excellent and not too expensive!

Forget to mention the name: Panda House.

        2. Panda Asian Fusion in Freehold moved but is stil good (335 West Main Street). There are also a bunch of restaurants in the Red Bank area.
