  1. I live within walking distance and have only been there twice. First time I was convinced something was off that day. Second time I confirmed that it is just not that good. I don't know if it used to be good, but it sure isn't anything nowadays. Basically they take some stuff and microwave it (literally) and throw it on a bun. They seem to be nice people and all, but as far as food goes, it is sub-par. They need a specialty, one or two items that nobody else does. Something fresh or extra tasty that would make it stand out, something that would make people stop in once a week for “that stuff.” Living so close it really pains me that they don’t have “it.” With the decent Tai food and Mexican food on Central now, there is nothing that even in a pinch I would get from Marino’s.

    1. I've always wondered about this place. I pass by it all the time. I've never been in because it just didn't look good. I guess I was right. Thanks for the warning.

      1. I ate here once last year and it was pretty good. Had the B1G1 coupon from the Happenings book. We ordered the mushroom chicken ravioli and an italian sub. The ravioli was a lot better than the sub. The sub had squishy wonder-like bread, but the meats were pretty tasty. If the price was right and I was in the neighborhood, I'd eat there again.

I'll second the mushroom chicken's been a year or two, but it was pretty good from what I can remember. I mainly used to go there for the Walkerswood Jerk sauce. The only other places I could get it were Coastal (they charged too much IMO) and this little Caribbean grocery store on E. Lake by White Castle.

        2. The last time I was there was a few years ago (I no longer live in the area) and I remember they had a killer chicken parmesan sandwich!
