Start New ThreadWill be visiting the area (VA/DC) the weekend of the 26th to celebrate a birthday. We currently have a reservation at Bourbon Steak, since we did not make it for New Years Eve. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. (seafood, steak, Italian, French, etc.) Not Mexican or Indian.

Just to clarify- do you only want recs for places that have only recently opened, I ask because I think Bourbon Steak has been open longer than that.
If so, off the top of my head there is: Ris, Bibianna, Plume, and J and G steakhouse (this one may have been open longer). I've only eaten at Ris, but had a great meal there.
Although not new, Liberty Tavern has a constantly updated menu, just went there on Saturday night and they had a late winter menu available, and it was incredible. I had the home-made taglietelle w/ kale, foie gras and browned butter and it was amazing. It's a fun, busy spot, but I've seen them handle large and small parties.

Screwtop Wine Bar just opened in Clarendon and is pretty good. Zest just opened in DC and so did Againn. Also Commonwealth, Churchkey and Birch & Barley are very new.

Thanks to mjhals and ktmoomau for the recs. I am looking for somehting new and know that Bourbon Steak is older, but we really enjoy the bar area at the Four Seasons, but never ate there.... I have read about Liberty Tavern, Churchkey and Birch & Barley....
