suggestions for lunch break

My daughter in law recently found work near the I-5, CA- 15 merge in San Diego. She is from north county and has a hour long lunch break but no knowledge of any good eats in the area. Open to any suggestions for any type of cusine. Thanks!

El Salvedorena on Imperial (El Salvedoran - e.g. Pupusa's).
Magnolia's on Euclid (Cajun, fried chicken).

Thanks for all the great recs. I'll pass them on to her. She was also interested in some good pho . She saw alot on El Cajon Blvd and wasn't sure where to go. She said she was scared off cause the places looked seedy and old...:} cute

That's quite close to some of the best Mexican in San Diego. Tacos el Paisa, Mariscos German, and Los Cuatros Milpas are all right there. Other options that are a little further but still easy to get to include Hamilton's Tavern, Counterpoint, Alchemy, or anything downtown (i.e. Cafe Chloe, Bread, Venissimo, Kebab Shop).

Agreed, El Porvenir is right there as well. Blueprint Cafe has been getting a little buzz lately, I have not been.

I have always enjoyed Huffman's BBQ at the intersection of Imperial and Euclid (formerly known as the four corners of death). Their smothered, fried chicken is quite tasty, though not quite up to the standard set by Roscoe's in La La Land.

Can you be more specific? Do you mean the I-805 and CA-15 merge, or the I-5 and I-805 merge?
