any thoughts on taking 2 kids (4 & 5) to shopsins? they have been to nice restaurants all over the world but something about shopsins scares me ...

  1. they're not going to throw a family out unless it's the adults who are being difficult.

Yes, I've seen families eating there with no problem.

    2. The food? If they have been to nice restaurants all over the world, why spring Shopsin's on them?

I agree. The food is lousy at Shopsin's.

The last time I was there, unkempt fat guy sitting in one of the table with t newspaper yelled out to the cooks inside about "the fuc#*ng tomato sauce is in the top cabinet!".

At some point, one of the cooks came out and asked out in the open "is it a half order of the fuc#*ng fried chicken?"

I get the feeling that he watches his mouth around young kids. Maybe not, though.

        2. Although the kids will inevitably love the food at Shopsin's, and Kenny will be sweet as pie to them, his foul-mouthed son will drop f-bombs the whole time, so it's up to you how you feel about that. I happen to love the food there but would never take my daughter.

          1. I absolutely love Shopsin's. The food is terrific and they seem to get a bad rep for the way they treat people. If you just go there, not make a big fuss about anything, and eat the great food there should not be a problem.

I agree that Kenny will watch his mouth around the kids. He is not a monster jus a bit quirky. LOL.
