A friend said to give it a try. Any thoughts? Three northern middle aged (gulp) sisters are looking to have a casual supper on Friday night (late March) before/after checking out Roberts, Tootsie's. (Saving what I understand are the really nice places - Watermark, City House - for Saturday and Sunday.)
I would say it depends on what you are looking for. It has a good pedigree (owner and chef), and the food is fine. Even though you can get a serious meal there, it's really primarily a bar in terms of atmosphere. It's also very loud, and on the weekends you may have to wait a while to be seated where you can order food. Not that there's anything wrong with any of that, and it could be a blast. Just know it's a hot spot.
