Bubble Tea and asian near Georgia Tech
I am going to be in Atlanta in a couple of weekends, visiting the Georgia Tech Campus, and was wondering if there is any Bubble Tea within walking distance of Georgia Techs campus. I spent the last 4 years of my life in Vancouver, and quite miss it. I'd also be interested in any asian restaurants near by particularly sushi, dim-sum and pho.

There are lots of places in Atlanta to buy Bubble tea! My favorite place is Suno Desserts (http://www.suno-dessert.com/). They are the least expensive and they also offer the fruit jellies as well as tapioca. Another good places if you like more of the frozen bubble tea is Cafe Mozart. Anywhere on Buford Highway near Doraville or Pleasant Hill Rd in Duluth will have bubble tea. It's very popular and yummy.
Yoguryberry is also a great place. It is located in Buckhead in the Terminus shopping center. Try it hear if you like the flavor of yogurt.

Completely off topic from what you requested but there is Antico Pizza near the campus. Great Neapolitan pizza. The best & closest sushi restaurant would north of the city by a couple miles, Taka Sushi. MF Sushi is on the other side of 75/85 but I prefer Taka.
Not really a food-centric multicultural area in terms of food, those areas are concentrated elsewhere. That's not to say there aren't some small good spots to hit, I just don't know of them.

re: Fuller
Thanks!!!! I'm mostly cravingbubble tea. I found a thread here saying that there was a place called bubble tea and smoothies near Georgia Tech, but that was from 3 years ago, I'm just wondering if that place is still open. I found a listing for volcano smoothies and tea room listed in the phone book, but I can't find any info on it.

re: nanashiwanderer
nanashiwanderer, you're out of luck if you're staying around GATech. you can take the MARTA train up to Doraville. I think chinatown mall is within walking distance of the MARTA train stop but most of the asian restaurants are over on Buford Hwy and would require an additional bus ride or at best, a car. Just remember, Atlanta isn't Vancouver in many ways, not just food so don't go walking around at night - Atlanta isn't a walking town.
