Woodleyparkhound has raised some good questions. Without that info, my reply may not suit your needs. Despite that, I recommend the Tabard Inn's Sunday brunch. You didn't say when you're here, but if it's in warmer weather, brunch on their patio is very nice.

Not knowing what type of food you want I would go to Hank's Oyster Bar, Tabard Inn or Pizzeria Paradisio.
