Hostess gift for winery owners/negotiants

I have been invited to dinner by a negociant in France and will also be staying as a guest in different chateaux.

Can anyone suggest a small, packable non-wine gift? Thanks in advance!

perhaps something typical from where you live.. i live in quebec so maybe some good maple syrup
