TN: 2006 Karl Lawrence Alden

I decanted this for an hour before drinking and it was perfectly timed. Karl Lawrence's Bordeaux blend (70% Cabernet Suavignon, 18% Merlot, 12% Cab Franc) it is not as powerful as their Napa or single vineyard Cabs. Nicely fruit forward, notes of cassis, cedar, and tobacco box and some minerals. Fairly complex with rounded yet firm tannins, nice mouthfeel, and a medium long finish. Drinking very well and will just get better over the next couple of years.
