They have lots of it at the Loblaws at Bathurst and St Clair for $1.49/ 2L bottle, I just got some today. There's no limit to how many you can buy. It's in the kosher section and looks exactly like the regular coke bottles even the cap is the same colour but the ingredients say sugar and it says on the label kosher for passover.

Hello all, as someone whos never tried it but likes the idea of it not containing HFCS, just curious as to why this would be something only at your passover event but not available as "kosher coke" all year round?
cheers, hopefully my local Sobeys here in Brampton has it, but I doubt it.. I don't think theres a large Jewish population here

The HFCS does not make the product non-kosher. During Passover, strict adherents to the rules must avoid any grains that could possibly be leavened during processing or cooking. Since HFCS is made from corn, it must be avoided during Passover, hence the kosher for Passover Coke made with cane or beet sugar. I suspect that many people would prefer to drink the K for P version year-round, rather than the inferior HFCS stuff, but no matter how much you buy when it's available, it still bears an expiry date. Buy up a bunch, if you prefer it, and enjoy sparingly while it's still good.

Ashkenazi Jews have a tradition of refraining from eating certain legumes during Passover, and corn falls into that category. As you mentioned, I doubt you would be able to find it in a major chain supermarket in Brampton. However, you could try Ocean's. They sell Coke products bottled in Trinidad (in glass bottles no less) and I'm pretty sure they use sugar instead of HFCS.

I find most grocery stores in Thornhill and North York (along Bathurst) carry them, from higher end (Longo's) to lower (Food Basics).
Last year's version used beet sugar if I recall.
Again, mexican coke in glass bottles is available year round at Perola's, La Tortilleria, Tierra Azteca, etc....

Thanks for the heads up about Perola's, I grabbed some Mexican Coke and Sprite today.
If anyone's curious, the best pop I ever had was in Iceland as they make their Coke with glacial water and cane sugar. You can order it off www.nammi.is but the cost of shipping it here isn't really worth it when we have easy access to Boylan or Mexican Coke.
