Starfish Sushi - Miracle Mile
Starfish Sushi opened up within the past month down the street from my office, which without the daily food trucks - food options are limited, though we now have mixt greens i was not impressed with the farmer sandwich. anyway, back to starfish sushi. i am a sushi snob and this place is not bad at all. the fish has been very fresh, big pieces, and well, i just wasn't expected this to even be decent, let alone pretty good. it's no hirozen by any means, but you can't beat the proximity and the freshness. and, both times i've gone i've been able to get my chirachi with brown rice, which is a huge plus. i've tried getting brown rice chirachi at other sushi places, seeing a side of brown rice on the menu, but they won't do it. starfish sushi - glad it's around for my lunch sushi fix. wondering what others on here may think of it. note: i've only eaten the chirachi, but for lunch it's my favorite thing.
What's the price range? Do they do a good take-out business or are they more upscale?

not upscale, both times i called in my order and took it to go. the prices are average. it's not cheap nor expensive. depends on what you get. the chirachi is, after tax almost $15 and it's huge. hirozen's chirachi is about 9 bucks but it's smaller. what looks like huge specialty rolls on the menu run about $12 each. they have bento lunch boxes where you pick 2 items for $10 or 3 for $12. something like that. it's not cheap, now that i think about it. you just get a lot.
