I'll be in Fairfax/Fair Lakes - I assume it is overrun by mediocre chain restaurants? If not, please suggest chow places to check out! TIA

Chutzpah for breakfast or a NYC-like deli sandwich.

Pomodorro does a respectable pizza - especially the quattro (slices are meh).

And if you have a car, then ask or search about Chantilly spots, perhaps Reston or Vienna as well.

I think breakfast is the best meal at Chutzpah. The french fries are better than the home fries (good home fries are so hard to find).

We've had pepperoni, pepperoni/mushroom. Any of their pizzas are great. Cannoli wasn't too bad either if I recall correctly.

I'm partial to the thin-crust mushroom pizza, but I've tried several others. If you're really hungry try the pasta pie.
