Marcus Waring substitute [London]

awinestory Mar 5, 2010 10:40 AM

I am planning to take a VIP to dinner on April 23. I had dinner at Marcus Waring when I was at the Berkely and got in on a whim at 9pm that very night!

Imagine that found out today April 23 is sold out!

Can someone recommend a QUIET restaurant with elegant service and good food? It doesn't have to be the trend of the moment, but it does have to be quiet with attentive service.

Thanks in advance.

I second Hibiscus - quiet room, excellent service and outstanding food.

I had a fantastic dinner at Blake's Hotel.. but it was a few years ago and I'm not sure the same chef is still there. The room was quiet, elegant and the food was superb.
