Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in DC/Baltimore and Suburban Virginia

Wedding Restaurants

I am interested in having my wedding reception at a DC area restaurant. I have read some posts about facilities that are pretty "fancy" (2941, Bistro dO'c?) and that is not really what I'm looking for. What we want is a place with a room for 50-75 people and really, really good, non-wedding style food. We don't care if it's bbq, Asian, Italian, American, or pub grub, we just want it to be food that we would be happy eating at a restaurant. Any ideas?

    1. By non-wedding food, I assume you mean hotel rubber-chicken plates. If you like Chinese food, China Garden in Rosslyn can easily accommodate a group that size. Their prices are pretty reasonable for a banquet, depending on what dishes you pick.

        1. You might check out Jaleo, they have private rooms and interesting Spanish food. Brasserie Beck might be another good choice.

            1. thanks for the suggestions. All of those places look great. Brasserie Beck might be a little out of our price range, but I really want to go there for dinner now.
