J&D Pizza brings back their $5 lunch special in Rego Park--Queens...

Great news if you're looking for tasty pasta and inexpensive lunch if you're in Rego Park or nearby in Forest Hills....J&D Pizza had raised their prices and gotten rid of their lunch special for awhile, but now it's back, and my husband is back eating there all the time again--when he's not at Andy's CHinese---their pasta is prepared nicely and it comes with garlic rolls..they also have good soup there that is huge portion and filling and inexpensive---good neighborhood joint with a chef that is a real sweet character that will make you anything you want--he's a gem--and very nice owner. These are the kind of places chowhounders need to support--not just your local pizza slice joint--but kitchens that are capable of cranking out good food--and will customize it for you---
