Hamtramck/MetroTimes Blowout - (Det, MI)

Anyone going down to Hamtramck this week to enjoy some local bands for the MetroTime's Blowout? What are the can't miss places to grab a bite to eat in Hamtown? My spot to recommend: Aladdin, great cheap Bangladeshi food as long as you're ok with eating on Styrofoam plates..... Where/What do you recommend?
I'm too over-the-hill to deal with a ruggedly hip Blowout crowd, but since you asked the question, I'll comment that Polish Village Cafe seems to be the consensus pick, though when it is crowded and smokey, I move the family over to Polonia. Under The Eagle is not too far behind, for what that's worth...
But, isn't a Blowout best suited to a strategy that balances a good selection of eye candy versus a tolerable wait in line outside in the cold? Not a food night. My buddy met his wife-to-be at a Hamtramck Blowout, in a great live music bar, now defunct, called The Attic. RIP.
Hey, tell us a little more about Aladdin and also how you do at the Blowout. Cheers.
