Breakfast tacos in OC?

glassesq Mar 4, 2010 08:38 AM

I moved to Orange County from Austin, and I am suffering from breakfast taco withdrawal. Anyone know where I can get one 'round these parts? (Note: I'm not looking for breakfast burritos).

Sorry to say, breakfast tacos aren't as common in these parts. Neither are other Texmex standards like migas or queso. You can ask any taqueria to make you a taco instead of a burrito, though, since we're just talking about two different wrappers that they have anyway.

I mean, if it's the same filling, I'm sure they'll make it for you if you ask.

Never had a breakfast taco before, but they have them on the menu at George's in Huntington Beach, on Edinger in between Goldenwest and Edwards

Are they typically hard or soft shelled? Guess I'm going to have to try them out sometime

Thanks, I'll have to try that out! Breakfast tacos are always soft-shelled (preferably hand-made corn tortillas).
