Baby Shower Venue on Boston's North Shore?

We're looking for a venue for a June baby shower. There will be about 50 people. We'd like to have brunch/lunch. Has anyone had any success at venues on Boston's North Shore? Near Ipswich, Topsfield, Danvers would be perfect, though a little farther south is fine, too.

A friend held my bridal shower at Cygnet in Beverly farms this summer and it was divine. Wonderful luncheon menu.

I would also add the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem to the list of suggestions. I attended a holiday party in the back part of their restaurant (more than 50 people attended). It was nicely decorated and the food, served buffet style, was delicious. Parking is also easy there.

Paradiso in Swampscott does great private functions.

Yes, there is a new small room at the Danversport that is nice and should hold 50. I forgot about the Lyceum - have been to a few functions there. PEM still stands out as the best, IMO.

The Exhange at Wenham Tea House looks like a nice option. On my "to try" list.

The Lyceum in Salem has a lovely private dining room upstairs from the restaurant. It will easily hold 50. I've been there for company parties and one (small) wedding, and they do a terrific job.

Thank you-- I, too, like the Lyceum, but some of the shower planners don't seem to be big fans of the food at that restaurant. I appreciate your assistance!

It has been several years, but the most memorable baby shower venue I attended was at the Peabody Essex Museum in their restaurant. It may have been redesigned since I was there, but it was next to a garden with beautiful french doors and really quite lovely.

I think Chianti in Beverly will do private daytime functions, tho I've never been.

At least this will move you back to the top and perhaps get more responses. Sorry I can't be of more help.
