Papuseria- Awesome

As a San Diego CH who is in Seattle area about once a month, I've passed by this place a number of times. I've been craving papusas for a while now (actually made them, turned out good, but no where near as "authentic" as someone who grew up making them).

I finally had an opportunity to stop off and eat and was very happy. I had one with pork and cheese and the other with beans and cheese and both were delicious. I also had a side of plantains that were great.

Anyone have any other quite, cheap and delicious recommendations (preferably in/around Federal way or south of the Airport).

  1. not sure what kind of food but....teak house in burien for thai. all the best mex food in king county is south of seattle but i wont reco mex to someone from so cal. filibertos for pizza.

    1. I'm not sure which pupuseria you went to. Was it Mi Chalateca in Federal Way? Or the mysteriously named "Salva Mex" place in Burien?

Other recs near airport: Bai Tong (thai) or Mayabi (sushi) in Southcenter; Salaama or Marwa (Somali) on International Blvd in Tukwila. Check out other posts for information on Korean food in Federal Way, and other places in Burien.

I think you're refering to Guanacos for the B'Way location -- you can check it out now in the U-District (Brooklyn at like 40th), its pretty good.
