Brunch at Nectar
How is brunch at Nectar in Berwyn? I've driven by and seen a semi-full lot on Sunday, but I don't know anyone who's been so would appreciate some feedback. Also, any great items on the brunch menu or anything to stay away from? It's not inexpensive so I'd like to get the most bang for my buck:)
Thanks so much!

Agree with Kater. I have been there several times and every time I go away disappointed. While others recommend it still, I found it to be loud and the food to be average. There are many other places with a better 'bang for your buck', imho.

Thanks for your replies! I, too have been there for dinner, but never for lunch. It seems like my options are limited for brunch in the immediate area because we are a party of 12 and have 4 children included in the count. If there are other options I should consider please let me know. Thanks:)

re: Mirangela
While it's been a few years since i've been there, i recently posted it as an idea for someone else and quite a few other people replied that is indeed still good. They had a large buffet with plenty of options for breakfast and lunch items. They also have some separated rooms.

Since you haven't had many replies yet, maybe my limited experience with the place can help. Nectar doesn't suit my current needs because it is a fun, very loud scene. Patrons are taken by the style of the place and when we used to go (several years ago) it had a certain energy that some people really like. I always like a quieter restaurant or bar so it was never up my alley in terms of ambiance, but more importantly I am not wild about the food. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad but it reminds me of the sort of thing you find at the perimeter of a mall.
All of that said, we have not gone for brunch and I expect that it would be quiet enough to at least be able to speak to one another! If you go, please report back.
