parentheses seem to screw up posts
whenever I end a paragraph with a close parenthesis, it jumps it down to the next paragraph. (It is quite annoying)
if I add a period, sometimes it fixes it. (like so).
but not consistently.
(thoughts)?

or maybe only in response to a thread? (let's test again)
in an attempt to recreate the problem.

If you have a period, space or return after the ) there's no problem. This bug was reported when the site software launched in 2006 and has not been a priority to fix apparently.

i've encountered it even if i end with a return - it drives me nuts. i've learned to rewrite my posts so that i don't ever end a paragraph with a phrase in parentheses. better to avoid the issue entirely because i can't stand seeing it posted that way!

Sorry, I should have said a DOUBLE return.

I've learned to place a space after a close parenthesis at the end of a paragraph. That way there are no problems.
It sure would be better not to have to worry about it, though.
