Anyone here have any news about the pizzeria that Anthony Mangieri of NY's Una Pizza Napoletana is supposed to be opening in SOMA?

Last week Grub Street reported that a May opening is planned.

The exact address isn't stated . . . maybe some SOMA 'hounds will figure it out.

Thanks Melanie! Should be a great addition to an already excellent pizza whole pie scene!

I am wondering about the statement in the article: "All that remains are some trimmings and a few permit approvals from the city." Well it could be worse, it could be Berkeley.

Any update to this? Is May 2010 still the anticipated opening date for Una Pizza? I'm flying out in July and NEED to get Una...it's been too long.

Eater reports Anthony Mangieri will be moving in at the corner of 11th and Howard some time in July.

ah, not too far from another SF favorite, Zuni. that should make it easier to decide where to stay next time.

200 11th St., odd location. Though I guess that's not as out of the way as his old place. Looks like it's not currently a restaurant, if that's the case he'd be lucky to open next year.

It is an odd location. We'll see how this develops.

That was a cafe for the longest time. The name escapes me...

...but it will stick in my memory banks as the place we found a latte after Loma Prieta. They had a generator rigged up and were pumping lattes. Long line, but a happy time, actually. I always liked that place. Very mellow.
